VISION

To develop professionally competent and internationally aligned midwives who provide comprehensive midwifery care and contribute to high-quality maternal and newborn health services.

MISSION

To prepare competent, ethical, and compassionate midwives who provide safe, timely, evidence-based, and respectful maternity care, contribute to reducing maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality, and advance the midwifery profession in Somaliland.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

Graduates will be able to:

1. Practice autonomously, ethically, and professionally.
2. Apply evidence-based clinical decision-making.
3. Communicate effectively with women, families, and healthcare teams.
4. Respect women’s autonomy, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
5. Apply relevant scientific knowledge, laws, policies, and professional standards.
6. Support health promotion, community care, and continuous professional development.
