Having 16 years record of teaching assential healthcare dispciplines, such as clinical nursing, Laboratory technology, midwifery and Pharmacy and enabling more than one thousand students to successufly complete their programs, graduate and get emplyoyed , shifa University achieved history, tradition and recognition in Somaliland and beyond.

After a rigorous evaluation by the national commission of higher education, it is now registered as shifa university and is ready to offer practical sciences programs other than health sciences, such as agriculture and environmental sciences, engineering. In addition, it will provide a degree programe in English language, which is the mdedium of instruction in secondary schools and in universities in Somaliland.
