MISSION

To prepare competent, ethical, and compassionate Medical Laboratory Technologists who provide safe, timely, evidence-based, and respectful laboratory services, contribute to reducing disease burden, and advance healthcare in Somaliland.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

Graduates will be able to:

1. Perform accurate and safe laboratory investigations using appropriate techniques and equipment.
2. Apply quality assurance, biosafety, infection prevention, and laboratory standards.
3. Collect, handle, process, analyze, and report clinical specimens accurately.
4. Apply scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice in laboratory services.
5. Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, integrity, and patient safety.
6. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems effectively.
7. Communicate and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and communities.
8. Demonstrate research skills, leadership, problem-solving abilities, and lifelong professional development.
